Independent Fabrication has been a pioneer in the manufacturing of custom bicycles and bicycle frames since 1995. Today the IF team of artists and fabricators continue to push the envelope by using the newest metal technologies and refining accepted techniques. But even as production methods become more sophisticated with the use of carbon fiber and titanium shotpeening, the IF team continues to make bikes by hand and respects the craftsmanship of the old way. 1989 is when it all started. Sig. Marco Bertoletti started designing and developing frames for some of the Europe’s most famous cycle brands. In 2009 Marco decided to create the new brand “LEGEND by Bertoletti” into which he put all of his experience & passion. LEGEND gives you the chance to visit the factory premises and see first-hand how your frame comes to life.

It all began with a desire to have a tall bike. Since then I've been delving into the art of frame building. I build traditional style frames, tall bikes, trailers and advertising bikes.
Recently I've been making retro steel CRMO stems and bars.
It's great getting your hands dirty and making stuff.

Bikes say a lot about yourself. Why then should a frame not be every bit as unique as the human being riding it? That's why I love and build custom frames. I don't do production runs. I build bespoke bikes, one by one, starting with design and the geometry to fit you like a glove, continuing with a hacksaw, a file, a TIG welder, a pipe bender and finishing everything off with an extensive manual finish and a bolt on headbadge. If I had a say everybody would ride a custom bike.

Merényi Bicycles is a small enterprise consisting of a few persons, which was founded to build bicycles with a method fairly unknown in Hungary. It is our objective to respect and try to meet the needs and demands of the cyclists —who are in search of quality and singularity— already in the process of frame building. In our choice of tubing and technology, we are not bound by piled-up stocks. In the choice of paintwork and ornamentation, there are no fixed designs enforced by executives, moreover, we know and use more colours than red, blue and yellow. As for the rest of the components of the bike, here to, we have the possibility of choosing the best components and accessories offered by the trade. Each and every one of our frames is unique, numbered and built for custom order. Not two of our bicycles are identical. We believe that the birth of a bicycle is an adventure we share with our customer. Upon request, we design an d produce unique cycling jerseys that harmonize with the graphic design of the custom bicycle in question.

Odoni is a small British company doing great things with secure cycle storage and cycle security products. Favouring a policy of keeping things local, all Odoni products are manufactured in the UK from almost 100% British made parts. However these days we go just a little beyond manufacturing and try to offer a little bit more;  bespoke cycle security products, spreading the cost through leasing, providing locks to accompany our racks or even helping to develop policy and cycle advocacy, Odoni remains an innovative light in the production of secure cycle storage systems. 

“Made In England - the artisans behind the hand-built bicycle”, takes you inside the world of bespoke bicycle frame builders by showcasing the art, skills and methods of some of the most interesting craftsmen in Britain today. The book showcases 13 artisans behind the brands, through conversations the authors have had with the builders in their workshops. Alongside these intimate discussions is some exquisite photography of the frame builders and their working environment, contrasting the raw, rough workshops with sleek images of the beautifully finished final products.

Dr Alex Moulton pioneered the small wheeled bicycle revolution nearly 50 years ago. All of today's small wheeled cycles owe a debt of gratitude to the original Moulton 'F' frame design which not only introduced and proved the concept of full-size bicycles with small wheels, but also, right from launch in 1962, have utilised front and rear suspension systems for improved comfort and performance. The Moulton bicycle has been developed and refined constantly ever since and is held in high regard throughout the world.

Guru Cycles began in 1993 from the desire to tackle the challenge of crafting a high-end bike made from modern materials. From there we perfected our craft in line with meeting that challenge. We have made great strides in producing the best possible frames in the industry and we continue to work diligently towards that goal. Sometimes it's good to reinvent the wheel . . . 
Loopwheels are 20" front and rear bicycle wheels with integral suspension.  They are designed and made in Nottinghamshire by engineer and mountain-biker Sam Pearce, of Jelly Products Ltd.  After 4 years of development and testing, Sam is launching loopwheels at Bespoked 2013 and through the crowd-funding site www.kickstarter.com.  The 20" wheels offer suspension and incredible comfort on a compact folding bike, plus an exciting new riding experience.  Urban commuting may never be the same again!
